KUBO launches new webshop

A customer-specific shopping experience while saving time thanks to central data management: This is how many companies in e-commerce are likely to define the goals of their process optimization. For the Swiss service and technology partner KUBO, ESYON has implemented exactly that for the company's new webshop in cooperation with our partner, the Ambibit Group.

Technology with a customer focus

KUBO Tech AG sells O-rings, seals, molded parts and much more. For the company, which is based in Effrekton, Switzerland, the focus is on customers. This claim should also be reflected in the online shop, which, for example, enables customer-specific prices, discount campaigns and/or articles.

Because a large amount of information can be retrieved about the products, the shop offers a correspondingly large number of filter functions and semantic search suggestions. For example, the articles can be filtered by color, quality, hardness, profile width or approvals. Which filter options are available to customers depends on the searcher's input. For example, the search detects whether a ring or a seal has been searched for and provides appropriate filters. Despite a wealth of information, this enables an intuitive shopping experience.

Fully automated processes thanks to Webshop 2.0

The special feature of KUBO's new online shop is that all data and functions are based on the fully integrated Microsoft Dynamics ERP. This enables the automation of cross-border processes and gives KUBO the opportunity to focus on its core business. The company stores more than 5,000 items in so-called Kardex towers. When an order is triggered, the information from the webshop is forwarded directly to the ERP system. The order is created and the products are automatically selected by the provisioning system.

If a delivery is ready for dispatch, the picking list is printed and the posting of the delivery note is triggered. A shipping service provider is directly connected to the system, so that the necessary shipping label can also be created and printed automatically. If required, it contains specific information on the export and information on the country of origin.
