In conversation with Lekkerland Austria: Why did you choose ESYON as your provider for PIM & Webshop?
For Lekkerland’s online business, an e-commerce solution was created that is specifically tailored to the B2B environment and leaves nothing to be desired. A modern web store was created and integrated with the Perfion PIM by ESYON. The combination of online store, PIM plus ERP from Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, Promis API and EasyCatalog results in a highly integrated system landscape that was created in just a few months and has been live since April 2022.
In this interview with Marketing Manager Thomas Brandstetter, we review the project together, talk about the wishes and requirements and how they were ultimately implemented.
Thomas Brandstetter, it’s great that you’re taking the time! How about introducing yourself and Lekkerland Austria at the beginning?
Lekkerland Handels- und Dienstleistungs GmbH is a supplier of on-the-go products. Our employees ensure that more than 3,500 delivery points – from gas stations to bakeries to DIY stores as well as food retailers – are supplied. The product range includes beverages, food, fresh produce and non-food items, as well as e-loading products such as phone cards, payment cards and gift cards.
Lekkerland’s goal is to be the preferred partner in on-the-go supply. Lekkerland works out tailor-made solutions for store, logistics and assortment for its customers. – Thomas Brandstetter, Head of Marketing at Lekkerland.
Lekkerland’s new e-commerce platform went live in April 2022. What made you approach ESYON?
We held talks with several potential partners in advance. ESYON convinced us because the team was very professional in the talks and showed us that they understand our wishes and needs very well due to their experience with comparable projects. ESYON was the only provider that brought comprehensive know-how about all components, which is crucial for the integration of Oxid as a webshop with Perfion as a product information management system. In addition, ESYON distinguished itself with a strong Microsoft Dynamics background.
How were the goals defined in the project realized?
All goals were achieved and successfully implemented. In the course of the project, some requirements from our side were added. ESYON reacted very quickly to the changed customer requirements and the flexibility shown was exemplary.
What are the benefits for your customers?
It is extremely important for us to be a reliable partner: convenience for the customer. The new webshop is a big step in this direction: it offers a better overview for the buyer, the information is always up-to-date, thanks to the use of automated interfaces.
What do you see as the greatest added value for Lekkerland?
Das PIM-System von Perfion stellt mit Sicherheit den größten Mehrwert für Lekkerland dar, da wir bislang kein vollumfängliches Product Information Management System zur Verfügung hatten.
Das Perfion PIM ist über eine automatisierte Schnittstelle an den Webshop angebunden. Neben weniger Aufwand und einer besseren Übersichtlichkeit hat dies auch den Vorteil, dass nur ein System gewartet werden muss. Darüber hinaus hilft Perfion dabei, Prozesse zu optimieren und bietet uns jetzt auch die Möglichkeit, selbst – ohne großen Aufwand – unsere Folder und Kataloge über die Easykatalog-Schnittstelle via InDesign zu erstellen. Alle Informationen und Medien können jetzt durch ein System gesteuert werden, was auch für unsere Kunden Vorteile hat. Für diese sind alle relevanten Informationen schneller im Webshop verfügbar und insgesamt übersichtlicher.
What’s next for Lekkerland in the future?
The next step for Lekkerland is the further development of the website. To this end, we are currently evaluating the mobile app and thinking in the direction of a new customer platform.
